Study to Assess the Prevalence of Soft Drinking and its Determinants among the School going Children of Gwalior city
Background: Over the time there has been spectrum of changes in the universe. It may be at physical, chemical and cultural level. People have adopted newer life styles like their working style, clothing’s, food habits and so on. One of the pertinent example of this newer food habits is rising consumption of soft drinks rather than traditional home made drinks. This study was aimed to find out various determinants responsible for this rising trend of soft drinking so that effective intervention can be undertaken to overcome this creeping problem. Objectives: To find out the prevalence of soft drinking consumption among the students and to assess the determinants of soft drink consumption among the students. Materials and methods: It was a cross sectional study. A sample of 200 students was selected from the both govt. and private schools by stratified random sampling. Then they all were interviewed by using pre tested, semi structured proforma. Later on data was analyzed manually and by using suitable statistical software. Results: Frequent drinking of soft drinks was found more among the students of private schools than govt. (p < 0.05). A significant association was found between pocket money, TV watching and frequency of soft drinking (p< 0.05).Other reasons which were found to be responsible by far for frequent soft drinking like lack of awareness regarding hazards, frequent TV watching, desire of new taste, lack of health education from the parents side etc. Conclusion: Soft drinking consumption is creeping day by day amongst the children with out knowing their hazards. And they are the future of any country so there should be effective intervention from both sides govt. as well as parents to get rid of it at earliest
DeepPR: Progressive Recovery for Interdependent VNFs with Deep Reinforcement Learning
The increasing reliance upon cloud services entails more flexible networks
that are realized by virtualized network equipment and functions. When such
advanced network systems face a massive failure by natural disasters or
attacks, the recovery of the entire system may be conducted in a progressive
way due to limited repair resources. The prioritization of network equipment in
the recovery phase influences the interim computation and communication
capability of systems, since the systems are operated under partial
functionality. Hence, finding the best recovery order is a critical problem,
which is further complicated by virtualization due to dependency among network
nodes and layers. This paper deals with a progressive recovery problem under
limited resources in networks with VNFs, where some dependent network layers
exist. We prove the NP-hardness of the progressive recovery problem and
approach the optimum solution by introducing DeepPR, a progressive recovery
technique based on Deep Reinforcement Learning (Deep RL). Our simulation
results indicate that DeepPR can achieve the near-optimal solutions in certain
networks and is more robust to adversarial failures, compared to a baseline

Entanglement of Assistance is not a bipartite measure nor a tripartite monotone
The entanglement of assistance quantifies the entanglement that can be
generated between two parties, Alice and Bob, given assistance from a third
party, Charlie, when the three share a tripartite state and where the
assistance consists of Charlie initially performing a measurement on his share
and communicating the result to Alice and Bob through a one-way classical
channel. We argue that if this quantity is to be considered an operational
measure of entanglement, then it must be understood to be a tripartite rather
than a bipartite measure. We compare it with a distinct tripartite measure that
quantifies the entanglement that can be generated between Alice and Bob when
they are allowed to make use of a two-way classical channel with Charlie. We
show that the latter quantity, which we call the entanglement of collaboration,
can be greater than the entanglement of assistance. This demonstrates that the
entanglement of assistance (considered as a tripartite measure of
entanglement), and its multipartite generalizations such as the localizable
entanglement, are not entanglement monotones, thereby undermining their

Specialty Preference Among Medical Students and Factors Affecting It
Introduction: Medical education is one of the core part of educational system of any country. Medical education requires undergraduate students to study a wide range of medical specialties. It is often assumed that students do not make their career preferences until after they have graduated from medical school. So the reasons and factors responsible for preferences need to be found out among medical students. Material and Methods: It was a Cross sectional study on 180 medical students to assess preference for specialty and factors responsible. Results: Out of total 190 medical students more or less everyone (97.89%) wanted to pursue specialization and majority of them (96.84%) wanted to pursue the same in Medical Field(p>0.05). majority of male students were interested to pursue their specialization in the field of medicine (37.63%), surgery (23.65%) and pediatrics (13.97%). On the other hand female students were more interested in medicine (24.17%), pediatrics (32.96%) and obstetrics & gynecology (24.17%)(p<0.05). Interest, by far was found to be most common factor (76.63%) responsible for the preference of particular medical specialty among all four groups of students (1st professional-25.27%, 2nd professional-75.92%, final professional-89.47%, interns-68.42%).Conclusion: It is thus concluded there are many factors playing role in the specialty selection and preference among the medical students and should be equally justified and addressed
Comparison of area spectra in loop quantum gravity
We compare two area spectra proposed in loop quantum gravity in different
approaches to compute the entropy of the Schwarzschild black hole. We describe
the black hole in general microcanonical and canonical area ensembles for these
spectra. We show that in the canonical ensemble, the results for all
statistical quantities for any spectrum can be reproduced by a heuristic
picture of Bekenstein up to second order. For one of these spectra - the
equally-spaced spectrum - in light of a proposed connection of the black hole
area spectrum to the quasinormal mode spectrum and following hep-th/0304135, we
present explicit calculations to argue that this spectrum is completely
consistent with this connection. This follows without requiring a change in the
gauge group of the spin degrees of freedom in this formalism from SU(2) to
SO(3). We also show that independent of the area spectrum, the degeneracy of
the area observable is bounded by , where is measured in

The resource theory of informational nonequilibrium in thermodynamics
We review recent work on the foundations of thermodynamics in the light of
quantum information theory. We adopt a resource-theoretic perspective, wherein
thermodynamics is formulated as a theory of what agents can achieve under a
particular restriction, namely, that the only state preparations and
transformations that they can implement for free are those that are thermal at
some fixed temperature. States that are out of thermal equilibrium are the
resources. We consider the special case of this theory wherein all systems have
trivial Hamiltonians (that is, all of their energy levels are degenerate). In
this case, the only free operations are those that add noise to the system (or
implement a reversible evolution) and the only nonequilibrium states are states
of informational nonequilibrium, that is, states that deviate from the
maximally mixed state. The degree of this deviation we call the state's
nonuniformity; it is the resource of interest here, the fuel that is consumed,
for instance, in an erasure operation. We consider the different types of state
conversion: exact and approximate, single-shot and asymptotic, catalytic and
noncatalytic. In each case, we present the necessary and sufficient conditions
for the conversion to be possible for any pair of states, emphasizing a
geometrical representation of the conditions in terms of Lorenz curves. We also
review the problem of quantifying the nonuniformity of a state, in particular
through the use of generalized entropies. Quantum state conversion problems in
this resource theory can be shown to be always reducible to their classical
counterparts, so that there are no inherently quantum-mechanical features
arising in such problems. This body of work also demonstrates that the standard
formulation of the second law of thermodynamics is inadequate as a criterion

An Assessment of Knowledge and Practices Regarding Tuberculosis in the Context of RNTCP Among Non Allopathic Practitioners in Gwalior District
Introduction: India has the highest TB burden accounting for one-fifth of the global incidence with an estimated 1.98 million cases. Non- allopathic practitioners are the major service providers especially in rural and peri-urban areas, treating not just patients of diarrhea, respiratory infections and abdominal Pain but also of tuberculosis. Objectives: To assess the knowledge of sign and symptoms of TB and its management as per the RNTCP guidelines and to assess the practicing pattern regarding tuberculosis. Material & Methods: The present was carried out among the registered non allopathic practitioners providing their services in Gwalior District during the study period. A total of 150 non allopathic practitioners of various methods from both government and private sectors were interviewed using a pre-designed, pre-tested semi-structured questionnaire. The information was collected on the General profile of the participant, knowledge about signs and symptoms of TB and its management, practices commonly adopted in the management and their views on involvement of non allopathic practitioners in RNTCP programme. Result: The average score of government practitioners was 7.3 compared to 4.6 by private practitioners. There was a statistically significant difference between the two group on issue related to the management of TB patients as per the RNTCP guidelines. Government practitioners relied mostly on sputum examination for diagnosis and follow up compared to private practitioners who chose other modalities like X-ray, blood examination for this work. Conclusion: There is a gap in knowledge and practices of practitioners of both the sectors. Some serious efforts were required to upgrade the knowledge of non allopathic practitioners if the government is serious about controlling tuberculosis in India
